Whom to call?..for water leaking at Exterior door

Maybe someone here could advise on where to turn/investigate first.
The front of my house faces exactly due west. So I get all the weather
fronts that blow through hitting the front, occasionally hard. During last
couple of heavy driving rains slamming the house, I've had water leaking at
threshold onto hardwood flooring in foyer. Couple of board are starting to curl.
I've replaced weather stripping around door. Also noticed during last
storm, interior wood trim above door frame had water leaking through it.
Even paint started to peel. Appears that this water is coming from on top
somewhere. There are no water marks at wall above trim or at ceiling in
foyer above trim. Don't know whether this might be a roofing issue or just
a matter of caulking any all exposed spaces around exterior door frame.
Maybe entire door frame including side panels need to be replaced along
with door. Any thoughts apprecited.

how far up does the drip edge go on your roof? the drip edge is a piece of galvanized metal formed on a press brake to look like a T sideways. the long side of the T is what I'm concerned about. If it doesn't go up far enough under your roofing shingles, a hard driving rain and wind will push water up underneath the shingles beyond the drip edge. when the wind dies down the water doesn't go over the drip edge but under it and collects right at the edge of your sheathing or goes in between the gaps in the sheathing of your roof. Gaps are left in so the sheathing breathes during hot weather.

Hayzee maybe right if your door is under the eve and not on gable end of house.
Test this...on a calm day, run water DOWN roof with garden hose...no leaks....?
This drip edge is sold in many widths 3-6-8-12 inch
If roofer installed a too small drip edge and didn't place a starter row of shingles on properly the wind can drive water up and over.
I always use the 8 inch then a whole shingle, upside down, on first row of shingles then one right side up on top of this starter.
I had a leak on gable end of roof and it was just a matter of poor caulking over roof even though door flashing was installed all around door.
Caulking top and side of door can not hurt.
hope this helps
Gerry
