Grouting in a slate walk

The concrete(?) groutingin my 10 year old walk needs cleaning and some places need replacement. I'd welcome suggestions on products, materials, and tips. Thanks.

use a dry mix of one part cement and one part sand. use water to make it a dry consistency and sweep it intoi the voids. use a piece if narrow pipe to tamp it in place and let it cure overnight.
