Unhappy faux finish

I have to faux paint a popcorn ceiling with metallic paint. How can I do that? I am thinking in airbrush. I need suggestions please

Hi, I don't know why you'd want to put metallic paint on a popcorn ceiling, but another choice could be to spray it. You wouldn't want to brush it or roll it on. When doing either of those, you take the chance of knocking some off. Metallic paint is reflective, you will see all the missed spots and /or imperfections if there are any. That is why you don't normally use a metallic paint on a ceiling that is not smooth. Good luck! Jan Distinctive Scenes
