Fill is on a distinguished road
cutting vinyl flooring

I'm replacing a 6 inch by 8 foot piece of vinyl linoleum flooring. what is the proper way to cut the new piece so the seam is tight fitting?

I've been told to lay one piece on top of the other. Is that the way?

Thanks

Is the edge you are butting up to nice and straight? If so, then yes lay the lino piece on top of the other and use a straight-edge. Align the straight-edge at the top and bottom of the seam and make a small mark and on a piece of wood the length of the limo, cut using a very sharp utility knife
