No subfloor?

The floors in my house creak like you wouldn't believe. The house is about 8 years old (maybe not that old). My soon to be ex husband crawled under the house and said there is no subfloor. Can anyone suggest how to make my floors quit creaking?

No sub-floor? you mean plywood was applied and THAT'S the floor?? Seems odd - what's the finish floor?

Well, I'm not really sure what you are talking about, we walk on carpet, and I'm guessing there's a pad and plywood underneath it, but I'm not sure about under that.
