I'm a real novice in DIY, but I've pulled up wall-to-wall many times. How do I know if a tackless strip can be reused? The old carpet was fairly disgusting.
Also, I've asked for an estimate for a wood plank floor. I was told that the existing floor would need to be removed, and a sub-floor put in, for a whole lot of money. The existing wood floor is parquet. Should I just nail the new one on top of it?
