squeaky hard wood floors

well the flooring guys are finishing the floors while we are gone but they haven't addressed the squeaky floors. i used a product called squeak no more and it took care of 90% of the squeaks. i removed the ceiling tiles in the basement to have access to the floor from below.

question: finishing nails (what gauge) shot in at an angle with construction adhesive around the suspect joist?

is that all there is to it?[xx(]

It's sometimes better to be lucky than smart.

Jimmer is an unknown quantity at this point
vincent,

I would not use nails. Screws are the answer for pulling the wood together and keeping it together.

Good luck, Jim
