HomeRepairForum.com Front Page

Do you like the current home page, http://www.homerepairforum.com/index.php or would you rather the home page be http://www.homerepairforum.com/forum/index.php ?

I guess what I am asking is, do you find the extra features of the current home page useful? Or is it just better to go straight to the forum index?

The only problem I see is that sometimes people may not realize all of the different sections of the site from the home page.

I personally like the Current Home Page and only because I like to view all the new posts daily. I'm usually on once a day, and if I've been following a thread I like to see the new posts.

Now the Forum main page is good with all the links to the different topics but that doesnt outway the "new post list" in my opinion.

What I would like to see is the Forum Main page with a small section at the top with the most recent posts. I think that would be perfect, now is it possible?
Any ways i vote the current page for now.
Chris

What if I replace the site navigation on the left of the home page with the entire structure of the forums? Then everyone would know how to get to the various parts of the forum, and we could still reap the benefits of the home page.

Home page change....

Don't mean to sound cavalier about the effort you put into this, Troy, ...but... go ahead and make that change. What's the worst that would happen? Is there a way you can save existing info so it would be easy to reclaim?

Thanks for the feedback, I can make the change and undo it at any time. Let me know what you think once I do.

Take a look at the front page now, http://www.homerepairforum.com/index.php

I added the forum listing on the left, hopefully that alleviates all concerns. If you have any more thoughts, post them here, and thanks for the feedback!!
