When Closing my garage door, It touches one side of the outer side of wall.It causes the door opener to work hard, stop & go.I have stanley gage & door opener.I oiled the track,Chain, spring but nothing worked. Is there a problem with the door?

Has it always been doing this? Is this a roll up door? It could be the cables at either end are not pulling even and the 'tighter' one is racking the door. THe windup springs are a bit on the dangerous side to be messin' around. They can be handled, but only with much care. But I believe that's where the problem lies. THe second place could possibly the top tracks are not square with the door in the down position. One more possibility is the door opener is not square and in the middle of the door.

First mrcaptainbob thanks a lot for your response.Yes it was touching a little bit in the beginning, but it got worse when problem with opener,a technician corrected it,As per him I needed a new door.
No it is not a roll up door.I think the windup springs makes sense.
