french drain or Akwadrain

I tried posting this earlier but nothing happened.

has anyone heard of this product sold at Lowes: akwadrain by www.americanwick.com instead of the conventional french drain, gravel system most peple use?

It's sometimes better to be lucky than smart.

Yes I used Akwadrain along with 4 inch pipe in my inside perimeter drain system in my crawlspace I figured two systems would insure consistant drainage. The Akwadrain was very easy to install. I am unable to tell yet
how well my system works as I just installed it in early summer and I usually do not have problems until spring.
