French Drain Clogged

I have a french drain system in my back yard with 8 drains conncected to drainage pipes leading out to front yard. When I pull drain covers off, I can see standing water in each so the system is not draining properly. I assume there is sand and such in drain pipe.

Does anyone have any cures for this or suggestions?
