Blower Speed

My furance has 3 speed taps to adjust the fan speed. I just changed my Heat setting speed from medium to high. I also changed the continous fan speed from low to medium. In leaving the fan in the ON position and at the medium speed, the house temp seems more balanced. Any drawbacks or dangers in running the continous fan speed at medium?

Thanks,
Adam

If the speed you selected does the job by circulating more air, etc, then go for it. Normally, air speed (velocity) is adjusted to adequately supply the furthest outlet with sufficient air-flow. Also, air speed is adjusted so the "Temp Rise within the heat exchanger is within range... Too high an air speed can also create an "uncomfortable draft or noisy efect, but if your satisfied the only minor drawbacks would be more electric consumed, air noise, drafts, etc. Good luck...Hube
