Heat problems

I have no heat. I have a 1990 Rudd gas pack. It quit working last week and come to find out there was a loose wire. Now it's not working again. The a/c is working, the heat is not. There is an internal fan (not the blower) that is working and I can hear some type of clicking noise. I believe the clicking noise is coming from something that looks like a sparkplug. I can see a blue spark coming from it. Does this mean that the gas is just not igniting? If so, what do I do? or is it something else? Any help is appreciated.

Hube is an unknown quantity at this point
Gomtblue; It would seem like the ignition is trying to ignite the burner to no avail. It could be a faulty gas valve, senser, ,etc. Unless your qualified to check the operation and replace this valve, you will be futher ahead to call in a Tech who has the proper testing equipment and know-how. Good luck...Hube
