Furnace Problem

We have a 7 year old Lennox Model 80MGF furnace and the following problem has recently started:

When the furnace starts up, the burner cycles for about 2-3 seconds then quits. Then it starts up again and the furnace works fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Really need to be there with testing equipment to catch it in action but just a [u]guess</u> would be the flame sensor or Ignition Control Module starting to go bad.
Sometimes you can clean the flame sensor with steel wool or very fine sandpaper
