House Air Exchange

Was talkin' with my cousin tonight about the 'tightness' of his house. He wants to install better windows but is afraid of making an already too tight house even more air tight. I remember reading about an air/heat exchanger a loooong time ago. Where would I go for info on something like that?

kactuskid is on a distinguished road
What you're referring to are called HRV's or Heat Recovery Ventilators. There are also ERV's or Energy Recovery Ventilators that are useful for folks living in colder climates. Here's a couple of links that'll give you all the details of how both work. Hope this helps.
