Installing new Thermostat

I just bought a home with a 14 year old Lennox G10 gas furnace and the original thermostat. I would like to upgrade the old thermostat with a new digital programable one. I do not have A/C but would like to be able to just run the blower to circulate air. My old thermostat only has 2 wires, can I accomplish this with a 2 wire setup?

Welcome to the Home Repair Forums

No two wires wont cut it, You need three to energize the fan only part. Usually a blue wire.

Thanks for the not so good news. Can I just run a wire and connect it into my furnace or is that furnace not equipped to run just the fan only?
