Coleman Presidential II

My mother-in-law has a Coleman Presidential II furnace that doesn't heat. It's setup for Natural gas and maintains a lit pilot light. However the furnace never actually kicks in. The furnace is probably rather old (>10 yrs). Any suggestions on what I can check on it would be helpful.

Check the thermostat, control wiring, fuse or circuit breaker, furnace switch and gas valve. Any one of these things are commonly the cause of the "no heat" situation that you discribe.

Less common, but other possible causes would be the gas supply or pressure, or a safety control that has failed in the "open" position.
