best portable air conditioners

My husband and I are planning to buy a portable air conditioner, but we exactly don't know what type. We've practically searched the Internet and bumped into this. Somehow, it's quite comprehensive, but still, we are left in limbo. Also, if you can provide us the best store to buy such unit, we'll gladly appreciate it.

The only other thing that I discovered about the portable units is that they have to be drained every so often. Every air conditioner condenses moisture out of the air, and since these don't have a standard drain, you have to empty a tub full of water every once in a while. Minor point, just wanted to mention it, since it might make the difference in whether you'd want to install a less expensive window unit instead. Good luck.
