Red face Help! My outside Airconditioner works good then freezes up?

I need so me help. My husband is away so I have to manage things until he gets home. Our Unit runs great for a month of so....then all of a sudden it starts blowing not so cool air. It freezes up on the pipe outside, drips water through the ceiling as the other part of the unit is in our attic. My son and I have checked and changed the filter reg. I have hosed the coils off outside....
What do you think is going on.?
Please help me......Esty F

you have a freon leak..more than likely. Call a service tech to find the leak.

Low charge or dirty coils (upstairs) will cause this.
