New Furnace Data Comparison

I am buying a home and am in a position to suggest to the seller what brand and model gas furnace to replace their old Consolidated unit (leaking heat exchanger) with. Has anyone done a comparison recently or know of a website that provides this type of data WITHOUT charging $10 or $20?

The home is a tri-level with 1400 sq. feet. I will most likely go with an 80%, single stage unit but don't know what brand has the least amount of trouble or which is the best value, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Bryan

Hube is an unknown quantity at this point
If your going to be in this home for a few years, your better in the long run to go with a HI-eff Furnace.(90-95) It may cost more to buy, but will save you $$$ on fuel bills down the road . HEIL,LENNOX, have proven records, but the Contractor's installation is what really counts no matter what FURNACE you buy. Insist on a 2 speed fan with a controlled (switch) "low "speed (for better air circulation) Also a new "Set-back" thermostat will save you fuel...Good luck, Hube
