electronic thermostat

I'm trying to replace my old mercury switch thermostat with a ritetemp 8030 and the directions call for a minimum of 3 wires and all I have coming out of the wall is 2 (tied to the mercury switch)

Can anyone help me decipher the wiring?

Thanks

Hube is an unknown quantity at this point
Seems like your system is for HEATING ONLY ... Is the wiring from the unit to the thermostat 24Volt? RED is normally (power) Common. WHITE is normally HEAT. GREEN is for the Blower (Fan)... Did the old therm have fan on/off ? I don't think so. Post back info , Hube

You are correct, it is just a heating system and there is not a on/off switch on the thermostat. As far as the voltage I'm not sure.
