Flame cuts off after about 10 sec.

I recently have encountered a problem with my armstrong furnace. At certain times the flame comes on for about a 5-10 seconds then shuts off. The blower then comes on briefly then shuts off. The does not happen all the time, the house is warm. I have blown out the burners and replaced the thermal couple. Thanks for any information on this matter.

The thermostat is about 4 years old. It a newer style programmable battery powered stat (not sure of the brand at this time). It seems like it varies on the quick starts/shutdown. This morning I heard at least 3-4 of this quick starts/shutdown and shut down in about 30 minutes.

I had a loose wire on the transformer. I tightened it and it has not done it since. it was not even real loose, but loose enough. Thanks for your assistance.
