blower vent running continuously...no heat

i have a janitrol gmp series gas furnace. the blower vent stayed on all night but the furnace did not. i have the furnace unplugged now. there is a led light blinking on the control panel. the heat surface ignitor will not glow and no flame. i don't even know where to start. please help it is chilly especially for the kids. thanks for you help in advance!

what does the instruction manual say the blinking LED means? If it is a fault this must be cleared before the furnace will start. look for a reset on the gas valve. the ignitor if it is good will glow a bright orange and when gas it open should fire right up. a thermocouple is in the pilot flame to detect the presence of a flame. if there is no pilot flame the main burner valve will not open.
