Fedders Split AC unit

I've been looking at a few methods of heating and cooling a small enclosed area in my garage. I had orginally planned to go with a window unit until I stumbled across these Split ductless A/C units. I like these! However, not the price.

I did happen across a Fedders 12k btu Heat Pump unit for around $900. This seems much cheaper than the other brands which has me doubting the brand's quality. Does anyone have any stories or testimonials on this brand? For that matter, any brand or information would be helpful.

I've installed only fujitsu recently.
Fujitsu-The Best in Air Conditioning
Overall I've been very satisfied but they are not cheap.
