Non-louvered in furnace room
I would like to install non-louvered doors on my utility closet containing the furnace, hot water heater and washer dryer. The closet in my 1972 home sits above the crawlspace and I need to find out how to ventilate it in replacement of the current louvered doors. I calculated the needed venting to be 150 cubic inch of air. Will venting the floor of the utility closet into the crawl space give me a lot of humidity in the closet? I have plastic covering the ground in crawlspace but have a few spots with water on top of it. The closet is at the back of my dining room and I would prefer to hide the vents within the closet.
