Angry Old Roof mount a/c and heater

I was up cleaning my a/c yesterday the drain water pipe was plugged so while I was there I thought I would clean the whole unit so I got my shop vac and put it on the blow side and blew all of the dirt out of my unit then the next day I went to put in a new filter and run the heater a bit to get that old smell out of it but it only blew cold air. the unit is about a 1976 model and I was wondering if this old model has an electric start pilot or do I need to go back on the roof and light the pilot.

With out knowing more info I would say that because of the age it would have a standing pilot system and would need to be lit much like a water heater.
