Gas valve model number
I have a 1988 Trane furnace that needs a new LP gas valve. The valve model number is 36E87 which as I have learned has become obsolete. Does anyone know of the replacement model number for this part?
Also, does anyone have a phone number for Trane since their site only offers an email address to contact them yet after many days, I still haven't received a response from them.
Thanks.

I did a search of several valve suppliers and like you found there is no replacement - even as stated in the Trane site. what you could do is find out all the specifics of your obsolete valve and compare it to the specifics on given LP valves. if the obsolescence is due to a pipe size, a bushing could be employed to reduce the size of the burner tube, inlet pipe size etc. I did find the same valve you were referring to on ebay.
