Sealing new blower for cold weather (foto)

New HVACs have been installed in my old apparent. Problem is that cold air coming from underneath (see photo) even then it switched off and it gets really bad when it's windy outside. I figure it needs to be removed and its base sealed somehow. Can foam be used (what kind) or anything else (I don't want to damage device itself)? Other options. Any advise will be greatly appreciated...

leave the a/c in the wall. go to hardware store and get a large window film kit. use the double sided tape and go all around the air conditioner. apply the film and use a hair dryer to shrink the film. I used one on one of my windows and it works great.

Do you mean around the base of air conditioner? So I remove baseboards, AC plug, then do this "window insulation film kit" (not sure what it is, can you please post link to description?) on double sided tape and then shrink using hair dryer and then put baseboard/plug back?

I just check online and any reputable hardware store in Canada, Toronto, sells 3M company window film. the kit consists of a roll of double sided sticky tape and a piece of shrinkable plastic film. I looked at your photo again and you might be able to leave everything connected. apply the tape all around the unit, even on the bottom and starting at the top apply the film to the sticky tape, pull it tightly on the sides and into the tape at the bottom. Then you take a hair dryer and on high heat, start at the top and heat the film. it'll shrink and make a nice tight encapsulation around your a/c unit.
