m_kalvelage is an unknown quantity at this point
cold air returns needed in a basement?

I want to know if cold air returns are needed in a basement? Would the return need to go bak to the furnance like others?

Hube is an unknown quantity at this point
If your heating your basement and using it for various activity, then Yes, basement Return Air is very important. As a general rule,up to 50 % of the Furnace's total R/A requirement should be obtained from the basement level. (assuming your basement is reasonably dry and free of odors,etc.) Hube
