Attaching vinyl siding over brick
We are going to attempt to put vinyl siding on our old brick house, and sugggestions on to the easiest way to attach it?

I'd suggest installing furring strips every 18 or 24 inches. Attach them with some Tapcon screws. They come in a plastic box, includes the drill bit for them. Then you can attach the vinyl to the furring strips.

I learned a cheap way of installing wood strips on concrete or brick. Find a carbide drill that will match the diameter of the nail you'll be using. Drill through the wood and concrete or brick at the same time, then take a piece of iron tie wire, snip off a 3 inch piece, insert it in the hole - now drive the nail in the hole. cheaper than tap-cons
