exterior paint/stain

I recently bought a house with cedar bat and board siding, I believe the finish on the house is a stain of some kind (not sure). Can any one suggest a type of stain that I can put on that will work well with whatever might be on the house now?

Go to your local hardware or box store. They should be able to recommend an exterior stain for you. I live in area with houses that have ceder siding and I know they have been stained.
