Red face Leather

I would try a little Krud Kutter. I would first try it on a piece of the leather that may be unseen as a piece on the inside of the hat. That way you can check to see if it will be colorfast. The stuff is non-toxic and is specifically made for paint removal. I use it for cleaning up mistakes i didn't catch after a painting job. I often use a toothbrush for a little scrubbing action. Good luck. Jan
