How to prepare stucco for painting?

This would be outdoor work.

I'm thinking the walls should be brushed with TSP and washed down with my 1000# pressure washer. Put on the sealer and paint. A little chalking but not much. It was painted about 6 years ago. I will be using Flex-bon paint. It is next to salt water.

Is brushing with TSP really necessary? Thanks.
