Painting a Storm Door

Hey all, we recently bought a storm/screen door from the Home Depot and realized it was the wrong color after it was installed. Assuming Home Depot won't let us return it for the right color, are we able to paint a door of this nature? It's your standard metal storm door. We've been told we could sray paint it, but I wanted to consult any experts out there. Thoughts, comments, would be appreciated! Thanks, Dave

I hardly consider myself an expert , but I would think that a spray paint specifically for metal is your best bet. I would try to return it though, you'll never get it as durable as one painted at the factory.
