Washer drain clogged up

After washing my clothes. When the washing machine starts to drain the washer drain hose connecting to the stand up pipe starts overflowing. I get water on my kitchen floor, and the closet, where the washer is. I looked where the water is leaking and it seems to overflow water on the stand up pipe then slowly drains the rest of the water. How do i fix this problem?
