Help! hot water comes out very slow( shower)

My cousin was taking a shower and he was in there too long, so i decided to play a joke on him. I went in my mothers room and shut the valve off for the hot water, no big deal i thought right? Well now the hot water comes out very slow and the shower has no pressure whatsoever. If anyone has any ideas i would greatly apreciate it. My mom is pissed, someone said it has something to do with putting new valves in or something, a long job i hear.
Thanks in advance.

Yeh, sounds like the valve may not be opening fully. May need to replace it. Not realy a long job, depends where it is, the type of pipe and how much working room there is to work in. Can't tell you how to do it, would first need to know the type of water line you have (Copper, CPVC, Pex, Quest, Galvanized )
