How much should it cost?

Hi I had a plumber come by and give an estimate. We are first time condo buyers.Does 800/900 sound resonable for installing a dishwasher, sink, and a garbage disposale?I am having a hard time getting people to come out because they say they are booked. Thanks for anyone input.

There are far too many variables to be able to give a good answer without more information.
Is this new construction or rework? Are the basic plumbing pipes in place now? etc, etc. In all fairness you should be asking the plumber what he feels the time estimate is for your job and what his hourly rate is. You would then have a basis to make comparisons with other plumbers in your area.
In all fairness the demand for competent journeymen plumbers is extremely high because it is nearly impossible to get new people to enter the apprenticeship programs. Not many people are willing to work 40 hours a week toting pipe and digging ditches and attend nite school two of three nites a week for four years.
On the other hand, you can find hundreds of plumber wanna bees that work cheaper.
You may find someone who has a cheaper rate but ask yourself, which is better, a $40/hr man who can do it correctly in a few hours, or a $7/hr wannabee who will keep your home disrupted for days as he makes feeble attepts to bring it all together in a makeshift manner?
