porcelain basin CRACKED!
Last night I opened up my bathroom cabinet and a bottle of cologne fell out of the cabinet into the sink. The basin CRACKED! A very large piece of the sink completely cracked and fell through!
Do I need a whole new basin or is it feasible to glue it (epoxy)?

I wouldn't attempt to repair it, I'm afraid it would leak over time or look pretty unslightly. There are acrylic sinks that you can install at a pretty reasonable price from most home centers such as Home Depot.

Definitely change it out. While you might find an epoxy the would hold the pieces in place, it would not hold up to the internal stresses of hot and cold water. There would always be a serious risk of the bowl shattering from thermal stress, showering hundreds of extremely sharp edges on your feet.
Also, when changing it out, were good leather work gloves and be very careful when handling a cracked bowl or toilet. They can shatter without warning and the edges are like razor blades. r. rinard -journeyman plumber
