Customer Touched My Heart Today
First thing this morning a customer called and asked if she could select a generic model Kitchen faucett instead of the $275 designer model she had originally selected. She said she wanted to take the money this would save her and donate it to the Red Cross for the Hurricane relief. As she stated, it would not make much difference in her everyday life, but it could mean the difference between life or death to someone else.
I was so impressed that I went by and picked her up to go to the wholesale house with me to see if we could find something to her liking.
While we were at the wholesale house I mentioned to the counterman what she was looking for and why. He took off down through the bins and in about 2 minutes he returned with a generic that was almost identical in design to her original choice. When i asked the price the store manager says to me,,,"I got a deal for you, if you will put up the labor i will donate the faucett and she can send the whole plumbing bill to the Red Cross"
"That will work for me", I shouted.
An hour later I had the faucett installed and sat and had a coffee while I watched the lady make her check to the Red Cross for the full amount, then she put the check in an envelope and mailed it.
This whole incident touched my heart so much that I felt I had to share it with my friends here. What a difference a simple little sacrifice can make.

Thanks for sharing that LP. It does prove that EACH and EVERY one of us do make the difference! Once one person "starts" the ball rolling, so to speak, the rest follows. We are so devastated here in Canada (some of the NBC news footage resembles 3rd world nations) that our Prime Minister Paul Martin is offering much aid to President Bush to help alleviate the problem. Safe to say that we are going to be raising money in schools and the like to give to the Red Cross to help as well.
Let's all send them our prayers as well.
Craig
