Question Good caulk -Bad caulk???

Bought this caulk called polyseamseal tub and tile ultra made by OSI sealants. It was one of the most $$ at owes so figured had to br good!....followed directions cleaned old caulk...let dry for a day 2 days..applied new caulk and let dry over the weekend...(2.5 days to cure)

After 2 showers new polyseamseal gave way and peeled up....

Just bought GE Caulk-it Kit and bath...need to try again....any experience with the GE product? Or anybody have a favorite tub caulk?....should I us a a tub caulk/adhesive? we are just sealing the tub to the tile wall.

Also should we caulk around the metal tub overflow?

Thanks in advance from a newbie to this fourum

expensive sometimes doesn't fill the gap. just about any silicone based sealer should work. just make sure the sealing surfaces are really clean for them to work. don't caulk around the overflow. the rubber seal which is installed into the tub overflow opening should form a seal. the two chrome screws fasten the overflow to the tub overflow pipe.
