Our Shower Turns On By Itself

Our shower pops on by itself. We have a reod to hold it in place so it doesn't turn on. What can we do to fix this by ourselves?

You need to exorcist the ghost that thinks he/she needs a bath

What kind of mechanism is use to turn on/off the water? I would replace it with a new one.
