Repair PVC Pipe

The PVC pipe under the sin is leaking, the leak is at the joint where two pipes are connected and glued together. I can't see how to get the joint apart without breaking the pipe. Do I just clean the joint area and apoxy the joint?

Thanks

Thank you
Steve

Hube is an unknown quantity at this point
You could try and reseal it by wiping in more solvent. Are you sure its not ABS ? Is this the trap that is leaking or the verical drop pipe to the trap?. Hube

I'm not sure what ABS is, but the pipe that is leaking is the pipe coming from the wall. There is an adapter with theards cemented to it and the leak is where the adapter is cemented onto the pipe from the wall.

I'm being told that I can try to reseal it or I have to cut the pipe off and replace it? Is this true?

Thanks
Steve

Thank you
Steve

Is this leak in the DRAIN pipe.? or an supply line?.. The DRAIN pipe is usually 1- 1/2" in diam. and is a black, plastic material.Normally it is ABS material. You can cut the whole trap and pipe out and replace it for less than $ 15, and about an hours time. Hube
