A story....

Finally did the well-to-house supply line this week(+). Was a 3/4" poly that managed to find a leak. 160' of trench at 42" finally received the 1" poly. What a diff! When the pressure switch drops to the cut in point, it manages to fill that pressure tank to 60psi within a minute! All the work payed off! Next project now is to change it from 110 to 220.

operating pressure...

The volume and pressure are great. (now!) What I want to do is go from 110V to 220V. There's a switch on the pump. The new wire is there and ready...Should be in a few days and it will all be complete. BTW...need to ask you something on the electrical forum.....

Bob, imagine the motor to be two coils. Each coil rated at 120 volts. now parallel the two coils. in a parallel circuit the voltage is constant and the current is additive, both coils receive 120 volts and the current adds up. Now open the coils and connect the wires so that the windings are in series. In other words voltage goes into one coil then out and into the next coil and then out. The total voltage from one coil into the next adds up - 120+120=240. In a series circuit the voltages adds up and the current is one half.
