weeping tile to sump pit connection

myself and a friend are tackling waterproofing, weeping tile and sump pump at our homes. i have been doing a lot of reading and feel ok about all but one thing - what kind of pipe is most commonly used to connect the weeping tile (4" perforated corrugated plastic pipe) to the sump pit. since the connection pipe will travel under the footing should we use 4" unperforated corrugated plastic pipe or should we be using something more rigid like abs pipe?
