Best way to run kitchen waste pipe to basement joists

Can anyone tell me the best way to run my kitchen drain line. First it will run horizontal 3 or 4 feet along the exterior wall. Then I need to connect it to the main pipe in the basement/downstairs. The main pipe in the basement will be about 10 more feet away so I'll have to bore through several joists.

I am trying to figure out how to lower the drain pipe into the basement so it ends up as high as possible relative to the basement joist. Thanks.
