Mainline Repairs

My house was built in the 40s and it appears the mainline sewer in the basement is rusting out. 2 holes have surfaced, the second is where the it connects to some other sewer lines so its impossible to patch around it. Would it be possible to replace this section? I suppose some pictures would help. How much would it cost to replace the entire main sewer line?

LazyPup has a spectacular aura about
If you could post some pictures of the problem I could give you some information on how to replace the section or even the entire line if that is what you choose.
