Vanity Top Faucets Install?

I am getting ready to install a small granit vanity top (31" x 22") that uses wide spread faucets. The sink is preinstalled therefore once the top is in place, working room to install the faucets / spigot behind the sink is extremely limited. Is it practical to preinstall the faucets / spigot before placing the top in place or am I overlooking something all together?? Any comments , thoughts or opinions would be appreciated before I begin.

You can pre-install the faucet, supply lines and drain before you place the top. If the top is over 25", I would get some help setting it. Don't use the faucet as a handle, tempting as it may be.
