Laundry tub beside hot water tank?

I have a 7'x11' furnace room. The electric furnace is along one wall. There is 44" between the furnace and the opposite wall. Is it okay to install a laundry tub on that wall, between the wall and the furnace and adjacent to the hot water tank?
