Level Tub
I have a bath tub that is not leveled correctly, water remains in the back part of the tub away from the drain. What would be the most cost effective way to handle this?
I also want to replace the tub with a new one and wonder if it is more cost effective to just use someone like bathfitters after I fix the level problem?
Thanks in advance for any help.

what kind of tub is it? claw foot, cast iron, fiberglass? cast iron precast and fiberglass all use a ledger board on the wall side to support and angle the tub very slightly towards the drain end.

Does it have a plastic surround or tile?
The actual leveling of the tub is reasonably easy (once you get down to "just" the tub) as previously mentioned you will probably have to remove it, then reposition the ledger board and reinstall th tub, then under the tub fill the void with spray foam (make sure the tub is weighted down when you spray this stuff in) or seat the tub in a bed of mortar when you reinstall it.
