sink stopper is stuck

I have finally cleared my wife's clog of hair from the pipe under her bathroom sink, but I believe there is still a healthy chunk of gunk attached to the bottom of the stopper -- how the heck do I remove the stopper to clean it? It doesn't want to screw out...please help. Thanks!

Brian

Hube is an unknown quantity at this point
Hi, and Welcome to the Forum.Look under the basin (inside vanity) and there is an horizontal ROD that inserts into the waste drain pipe. Remove the Clip that holds the arm to the vertical "drop linkage". This will enable you to remove the Stopper. Hube
